Fort Tryon Park Trust Home

The Fort Tryon Park Trust is the non-profit organization dedicated to the care, maintenance, and enrichment of Fort Tryon Park. Since 1998, we have developed strategic partnerships and leveraged funds to build an endowment to protect and improve Fort Tryon Park.

Social Ink is thrilled to have worked alongside the Fort Tryon Park Trust on their new website. The overhaul presents a clean, accessible site that leverages the park’s photogenic assets and serves as a true home for this multifaceted New York City Parks asset.

Key features of this project included a seamless payments and donations and custom built-in tiered membership sign up system, a live, data-integrated map of the park utilizing geolocation data for park sites and gardens, an interactive events calendar and historical timeline. We’ve also laid the groundwork and structure for a forthcoming data-based plant and bloom guide. The WordPress powered site features SEO tools for administrators and is responsive across phones, tablets, and an array of monitors.

Fort Tryon Park is a unique and precious New York City asset. We’re proud to give it a website that represents the park in all its glory.  Social Ink’s partnership with the Fort Tryon Park Trust is an example of our continued work on websites for New York City parks, the civic and community trusts and alliances that help sustain them.

WE ACT’s mission is to build healthy communities by ensuring that people of color and/or low income residents participate meaningfully in the creation of sound and fair environmental health and protection policies and practices.

WE ACT needed a place on the web that told the organization’s incredible story and helped organize their many members around their public actions. WEACT’s new site utilizes dynamic content “hubs,” with a custom CMS built to dynamically build sections which combine and collate related content from across the spectrum of their advocacy. Tying in third-party integration with organizing and membership tools, the new site provides WEACT with a new toolset for activism in today’s critically important activist environment.

We were happy to work with West Harlem Environmental Action on the overhaul of their new flagship website. It’s a continuation of our great work on websites for nonprofits!
