Simple Authorize.net Payments WordPress Plugin

Description

Based on the demand from one of our recent clients, the Funding Exchange, we’re happy to release our latest and greatest plugin: Simple Authorize Payments WordPress (sapWP) plugin.  In just a few short minutes, our plugin offers a bolt-on solution to accept donations/contributions, including recurring billing, using Authorize.net, one of the most trusted and reliable names in online merchant solutions.  We’re also using the plugin on this very site!  Every plugin you purchase or contribution you make goes through sapWP.

Authorize.Net Logo

With just a few clicks and entry of data from your authorize.net account, you can accept donations of any size directly on your site through VISA/MasterCard/AMEX or eCheck, using your installed SSL certificate (not included) that allows your supporters/customers to securely support your organization on your own website.  Using the latest AJAX technology, we keep the users on the same page as the contribution form, allowing easy integration with your current theme and keep retain rate very high.

Use it for contributions (as the FEX site above does, here) or to accept membership dues, subscription fees, or anything else that requires money flow!

Security Notes – About SSL

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and integral. SSL is an industry standard and is used by millions of websites in the protection of their online transactions with their customers.

If your certificate is installed correctly and WordPress is configured correctly, the user will see a padlock or other safety indicator on the page where the plugin is installed. Note that the plugin does not check internally if SSL is enabled/configured correctly. Therefore you must rigorously check and test SSL safety before deploying it, in order to ensure your future customers’ security.

This plugin does not install SSL on your website, nor does it ensure that all WordPress-served pages, external scripts, and other installed plugins are properly using SSL. For more help on this, visit (unaffiliated) WordPress HTTPS.
