About the Work

The Vera Institute’s new Status Offense Reform Center joins experts with lawmakers in proposing alternatives to the criminal justice system, especially around juvenile justice sentencing.

With team members at Vera’s SORC initiative, we workshopped around accessibility, audience, and user interface and experience (UI UX), building a site from the ground up, with a ‘soup to nuts’ scope ranging from visual identity to web-side information architecture and database design.  A key move for SORC was the inclusion of publications both on and offsite, a dynamic, meta-data driven filtering system, and a dynamic “how-to” toolkit for interested stakeholders.

The SORC team is doing great advocacy and educational work toward reform in New York City and throughout America; as part of our continued work with web design for nonprofits (and other organizations), Social Ink is proud to outfit them with the right tools for the job.
