CMS and design conversion for Ma’yan, an initiative of JCC Manhattan

About the Work

Ma’yan is a program of JCC Manhattan, working toward greater equality for women and all people, in the Jewish community and the wider world. Based in New York City, they provide feminist, social justice, and leadership training to self-identified teen girls and teach vital skills to parents and educators.

In Fall 2016, Social Ink helped Ma’yan with the CMS conversion of its main website, moving the site from its Drupal model and rebuilding it in a custom WordPress framework. We created a flexible user-interface to help various users of the site easily access Ma’yan’s many resources. Maintaining the organization’s youthful visual identity, we madedesign changes to reflect new thinking in the web world, and account for events, programs, and a big restructuring of their content. The Ma’yan site is mobile-responsive and works across various devices based on pixel depth and screen size.

We’re proud to have teamed up with such a great organization that provides progressive, feminist training to young women. Our work with Ma’yan is a testament to Social Ink’s work on websites for nonprofits and advocacy groups.
