Website development for the JM Kaplan Fund, a philanthropic NYC Foundation with a local and international scope.

About the Work

The J.M. Kaplan Fund promotes initiatives to foster city life, the environment, historic preservation, and migrations in the New York area and beyond. The J.M. Kaplan Fund was established in 1945 by businessman and philanthropist Jacob Merrill Kaplan.

Continuing our work designing and building websites for Foundations and philanthropic organizations, Social Ink worked directly with the J.M. Kaplan Fund to reinvigorate their web presence, transitioning their old, static HTML site to a dynamic, easy-to-update CMS. Thinking through foundation-specific issues regarding access, grant areas, and transparency, the rebuilt site allows the foundation to take pre-emptive steps to filter potential grant seekers while providing news and updates regarding their work and progress. Project details include grant and document archiving, custom slideshows, and custom overview sections and application forms.

Our ongoing relationship provides updates, backups, and as-needed maintenance and updates, while in-house staff have freedom over content entry and development.
