To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action, which clearly and unequivocally called for the recognition of women’s human rights at all levels, the Center for Women’s Global Leadership embarked on an archival project. Global Feminist Journeys documents and makes visible the decades of international feminist advocacy that helped to reshape human rights discourse and redefine global policy-making to include gender as an integral point of departure for all issues.
We partnered with the Center for Women’s Global Leadership at Rutger’s University to rapidly develop the Global Feminist Journeys Timeline. The interactive microsite archives achievements in feminism across the world, just in time for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the groundbreaking Vienna Declaration.
