Walgreens gone Wrong Homepage - Social Ink

Change to Win approached Social Ink about their latest consumer watchdog advocacy campaign, to educate shoppers around Walgreens’ business practice.

Social Ink worked with CTW to have a fair use campaign site, combining video, mailing list signup and educational materials to help the nationwide campaign. The site is built with a responsive framework that intelligently and fluidly changes the layout to accomodate for a variety of resolutions and device types.

Kidney Research Institute

Continuing our work building websites for medical research and scientific projects, Social Ink worked with Washington University’s Kidney Research Institute to redesign and  rebuild their old website.

In addition to a new interface and layout including slideshows and staff and investigator profiles, we created a custom app-based interface to search, filter and offer resources around the Institute’s work, publications and research.

A special subproject saw the realization of an online, season-based vitamin D calculator, allowing outside practitioners and the public to benefit from the Institute’s work.

Ketuv Ketubah

Ketuv Products

Ketuv offers a fine arts option for couples seeking Ketubahs (documents formalizing a marriage under Jewish law). Led by dynamic co-founders Arielle and Maya, Ketuv offers unique opportunities for artists and a one-of-a-kind artwork and document for couples.

Ketuv reached out to Social Ink to analyze their site and offer a consultation regarding their user interface, particularly on the homepage and blog. After a thorough review, we suggested opening up the site with better margins and more space, making typography changes, and implementing a cascading grid of products, among other refinements.

Following up on our review, we massaged the site’s existing code to implement the changes and revitalize the site.

StudyLogic

Dynamic content slider with high contrast navigation and full bleed image provides an immersive first impression.

Social Ink worked with StudyLogic to convert their in-house design to a full fledged CMS powered website.

Employing complex, navigation-based slideshows, carousels, and different templates for research, news and other services, Social Ink’s web work has given Study Logic a new platform for business development.

The Study Logic project continues our work growing the local economy as we design and develop websites for business — both large and small.

Information packed home page with clear presentation

Social Ink worked together with progressive journalism project and online magazine WNV to design a new visual identity and logo, and rebuild their existing platform, migrating over 3 years and 2000 articles into a newly categorized and easily searchable system.

The new site links related content and archived metadata in an integrated experience. Using the latest in responsive design and development, the site intelligently shifts layouts to be viewed across all mobile devices and browser sizes.

Web design for online magazines is an important and emerging area of work for Social Ink!

Concert Artists Guild

Welcoming home page wtih customizable slider content

Concert Artists Guild is a NYC-based nonprofit which sponsors and supports brilliant young classical musicians as they begin their careers.

Social Ink worked with CAG to completely rebuild their website, moving to an open-source CMS and providing a dynamic and nimble platform for their various program areas: concerts, programs, artist profiles, past awards, and more.

The media-rich site is a perfect resource for both supporters and the artists CAG supports, and includes event organizing,  CD recordings for purchase, and multimedia artist profiles with custom video player, slideshows, and embedded audio.

Social Ink is proud to support CAG as we foster the arts with websites for nonprofits.

The NGO Committee on the Status of Women, NY works directly with the United Nations to organize and work for women’s rights the world over.

CSW reached out to Social Ink to redesign and rebuild their website, creating new visual identity assets and icons and re-aligning their events management flow with an integrated donations and registration payments (ECommerce) system. This CMS-powered site with customized backend interface powers all CSW events and helps the site with outreach and organization.

Whitewall Magazine

Infinite scroll combined with ad delivery system

Whitewall is a Fashion and Lifestyle magazine with roots in the art world. Social Ink worked alongside design studio Antebellum to develop the brand new Whitewall Magazine website.

As a design conversion project for a contemporary online fashion and lifestyle publication, the job included building an ad platform, infinite scrolling, responsive headers, and multimedia and slideshow integration, all built into a powerful CMS.

Steeplechase Films

Steeplechase Film Profiles

Social Ink spearheaded a brand new website and visual identity extension for Steeplechase Films and Director Ric Burns, creator of noted documentary films and PBS features such as New York: Center of the World, Andy Warhol, Ansel Adams, and his most recent Death and the Civil War.

Work on the project included full bleed slideshow and hero images and slideshows, a multimedia-equipped CMS platform embedding audio, video, and production stills, and custom content linking between films, press, and film scores.

Marketing Visualized is a New York-based marketing consultancy firm offering training and development services to small businesses around the world.

No Tax Breaks Slideshow

Social Ink built parallel advocacy sites in support of pending state legislation in New York and New Jersey to eliminate subsidies and tax breaks to businesses outsourcing labor.

This project continues our series of efficient, flexible, CMS powered advocacy sites helping to stir political action and participation. Features include slideshow, news feed, Twitter feed, and integrated petitions.
