“Working Families is a growing progressive political organization that fights for an economy that works for all Americans, and a democracy in which every voice matters.”

Social Ink worked with Working Families to completely overhaul their website, shifting their presence from a small, grassroots startup political organization to a powerful party with an national scope. As Working Families extends their presence, starting coalitions and outreach in an increasing number of States, the site is built to grow accordingly. The site stitches together local and national advocacy and action, with content broken down by state, issue, and elections, in addition to dedicated actions.

The new site organizes meetings with various chapters of WF staff in different regions and states to see how we could connect national and local news, and distinguishes between the political arm of the party and 501(c)3 that handles nonprofit advocacy.  The administrative backend is equipped with a systematic way for over 30 site admins to enter data that is moderated and pushed to the site with a smooth publishing workflow.

Powerful State Hubs provide related content for multiple feeds and filtering. Action modules integrate with the Salsa CRM. To organize information, we’ve built dynamic filtering along States, Issues, News, and Elections. On the social media front, the site has multi-faceted Twitter integration, pulling state-centric twitter feeds. As always, the site is responsive across phones, tablets, and displays of all shapes and sizes.
